The DR Medical LSO Back Brace with Front Panel (BB-159) is a jacket-type lumbar-sacral orthosis with sagittal-coronal control, and features comfortable padding and a universal fit. The wraparound design encircles the trunk with overlapping edges and stabilizing closures to ensure secure placement of the anterior and posterior 15” rigid panels. The rigid posterior panel provides natural contouring to support the lumbar area from the sacrococcygeal junction to the T9 vertebra. The rigid anterior panel provides support from the symphysis pubis to the xiphoid process, producing intracavitary pressure to reduce the load on the intervertebral discs. The brace uses an adjustable string and roller system that perfectly supports the lower back and core muscles while allowing for pendulous abdominal placement. The brace is designed to provide better tissue healing after injuries around the lower back and can be used before and/or after surgery. Waist belts can be trimmed to fit sizes S to 2XL (up to 56” waist). Universal size. For 3XL to 5XL, the Large Kit for this item includes two (2) 9” belt extensions (ISO-BA202 Lumbar Belt Extension: Universal) and fits up to 74” waist.
